These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your booking of any services with Urban Hair & Beauty ("we", "us", "our", "the Salon"). By booking an appointment or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Us

2. Bookings
Appointments can be booked via our website, by phone, or in person.
A valid name, phone number, and email address are required to confirm a booking.
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before your appointment time. Late arrival may result in a shortened service or the need to reschedule, at our discretion.
All prices are shown in GBP (£) and are subject to change without notice, though the price agreed at the time of booking will be honoured.
3. Lateness Policy
Please be courteous to your hairdresser/beauty therapist and other clients. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your hair appointment, or 5 minutes late for beauty services, we may have to reschedule your appointment, and the full balance of the service will be charged.
4. Pricing and Service Policy
All prices listed are starting-from rates and vary depending on hair length, hair thickness, and the hairdresser performing the service.
For an accurate quotation, we recommend booking a free consultation before your appointment.
If you choose to change to a different service than the one originally booked, or request an additional service during your appointment, this will incur an extra charge based on our current pricing, subject to availability.
No-shows will result in the full amount being charged.

5. Deposits and Payment
All services require a non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment.
Full payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

6. Cancellations and No-Shows
We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a charge of up to full amount of the service cost, or forfeiture of any deposit paid.
Missed appointments ("no-shows") will be charged the full price of the booked service.
Repeated no-shows may result in us requiring full pre-payment for future bookings.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. staff illness), and will give as much notice as possible.
7. Patch Tests
For colour, tinting, and certain chemical treatments, a patch test may be legally or professionally required at least 48 hours before your appointment.
If a patch test is required and not completed, we reserve the right to refuse the service or offer an alternative treatment.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any known allergies, sensitivities, or previous adverse reactions before treatment.
8. Health and Safety
Please inform us before your appointment of any medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, skin sensitivities, or medications that may affect your treatment.
We reserve the right to refuse or amend a service if we reasonably believe it may be unsafe to proceed.
Children attending appointments must be supervised at all times.
9. Client Responsibility and Liability
While we take great care in providing our services, we cannot guarantee a specific outcome (e.g. exact colour match), as results can vary based on hair condition, skin type, and other factors outside our control.
We are not liable for any allergic reaction or adverse effect where you failed to disclose relevant medical information or skipped a recommended patch test.
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto our premises.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
10. Our Service Guarantee and Refunds
Our Service Guarantee We make every attempt to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience at Urban Hair & Beauty. In the event that you are not satisfied, please let us know at the time of your service, or within 48 hours after your service has been performed.
If you are unhappy with a service, please contact the salon directly by email or phone within 48 hours of your treatment.
A refund will only be given where the outcome was a genuine mistake by the service provider, not where you have simply changed your mind after the service has been performed.
Where something can be corrected, we will offer a corrective service. This must be booked within 7 days of the original appointment; corrective services will not be offered after this period.
We are not able to offer refunds or redos for issues arising from at-home aftercare that does not follow our advice.
11. Respectful Conduct and Protection Against Harassment
Urban Hair & Beauty reserves the right to refuse service to anyone demonstrating inappropriate behaviour towards any member of our staff.
We are a small, specialist hair and beauty salon. All our professionals are highly qualified and trained, and we use quality products and are committed to achieving the best results for every client.
Manipulation, lies, or threats made via press or social media channels with the intent of damaging the Salon's reputation, or causing distress or anxiety to any member of staff, are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
We reserve the right to take legal action, including for harassment or defamation, against anyone found to be engaging in this kind of conduct towards the Salon or its staff.
12. Website Use
Content on this website (text, images, logos) is owned by or licensed to Urban Hair & Beauty and may not be copied or reused without permission.
We aim to keep information on the website accurate but do not guarantee it is error-free, including pricing and availability.
13. Privacy

If a client does not wish their images to be used for promotional purposes, they may request that they are kept private and for salon/client use only.
Respect for Privacy We respect every client's right to privacy.
If a client does not wish to have their images used for marketing, they can let us know at any time before, during, or after their appointment.
We will always respect requests not to share identifiable images.
Business Reputation On occasions where images are required to protect the reputation of Urban Hair & Beauty (for example, to respond to false or misleading claims), we reserve the right to use relevant images taken within the salon, while still handling them fairly and lawfully under UK data protection regulations.
Data Protection All photographs and videos are stored and used in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Images will never be sold or shared with third parties for unrelated purposes. Photographs may also be taken and securely stored for internal salon records, even if not published.
