Both treatments promise smoother, shinier hair, and both are among the most requested services in our Chapel Street salon. They do quite different jobs, though. Here is how we help clients choose.
What a Brazilian Blowout does
A Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing treatment. It seals the hair cuticle so frizz settles, lengths fall smoother and blow-drying takes a fraction of the time. It doesn't make curly hair poker straight; it softens and tames, so your hair keeps its movement.
It suits you if your main frustration is frizz, puffiness in damp weather or a long, difficult blow-dry.
What Hair Botox does
Despite the name, there are no needles and no toxins. Hair Botox is an intensive conditioning treatment that fills and restores hair that has become dry, brittle or damaged, often from colour, bleach or heat.
It suits you if your hair feels rough, snaps easily or has lost its shine, and you want it to feel healthy again rather than straighter.
A simple way to decide
- Mostly frizz, hair otherwise healthy: a Brazilian Blowout.
- Mostly damage and dryness: Hair Botox.
- Both: we often begin with repair, then smooth once the hair is stronger.
How long results last
Results typically last from several weeks to a few months, depending on your hair, how often you wash it and the products you use at home. Sulphate-free shampoo and gentle heat help either treatment last longer, and we finish every appointment with aftercare advice for your hair in particular.
Start with a consultation
The right choice depends on your hair's condition, its history and how you like to wear it. That's why we look, touch and ask before recommending anything. Smoothing treatments start from £220, and a consultation is free.
